Bringing Tundra Esports to Mainstream Global Press

Tundra Esports entered the world's biggest esports tournament The International 11 as underdogs but pulled off one of the most stunning results in esports. We spearheaded their global PR to bring their story into the limelight of worldwide media.

In 2022, Tundra Esports qualified for The International 11 - one of the biggest events on the esports calendar, boasting a total prize pool of nearly $20,000,000. Dota 2 was one of the first titles Tundra developed a team in, and the persistence and patience paid off, as the team stormed to one of the biggest shocks in esports history, winning the entire competition without losing a single game.

Following their win, we amplified our press outreach to the next level. Conducting an extensive audit and journalist outreach, we secured 1,335 pieces of coverage across national and international outlets.

Key pieces included interviews on national radio stations including BBC Radio 1 and LBC and major UK features in The Times, The Sunday Times, Metro and the Daily Mail. We also secured fantastic coverage across international national papers including L’Equipe, Aktuality/HernaZona, Ilta Sanomat and lifestyle outlets including Hypebeast for a total reach of 9.3 billion.

We also organised and hosted a press conference for media across the globe, covering outlets in East Asia, Russia, Europe and The Americas, featuring 10 top tier endemic press interviewing the champions.
