Swipe Right was approached by Keepsake Games, a fresh Swedish studio founded by veteran developers from Hazelight, Coffee Stain and Mojang. The team was looking for communications support for their debut game, a space co-op that would one day become Jump Space. The indie games space is a very competitive environment, with only a handful of titles cutting through the everyday noise of dozens of games getting announced or released. What Jump Space needed was some rocket fuel, and we were more than glad to offer it.

Swipe Right tinkered around with the messaging of Jump Space, positioning the game as ‘a spacefaring co-op adventure by veterans from Hazelight and Mojang that fulfils the ultimate space fantasy of navigating deep space with your own ship and crew’.

Once messaging was finalised, we needed a platform and chose an unconventional one – GDC 2024. We used a traditionally B2B-focused event as a launchpad for Jump Space and offered limited hands-on previews with developers to only 6x Tier 1 gaming press, scheduling the embargo right after the conference and syncing it up with one of Xbox’s gaming showcases.
